ATAR Unlocked was a hit!
Our expert speakers unpacked everything ATAR – from scaling, to subject-selection to band 6 tips and tricks
Our recent ATAR Unlocked event was a huge success, providing invaluable insights to HSC students preparing for their exams. Hosted in our newly refurbished Level 5 Study Space at our Hurstville Campus, we were fortunate to hear from three incredible speakers who shared their expertise and experiences.

James
James, General Manager of OpenWisdom, kicked off the event with exclusive insight into how the ATAR is calculated and how to strategically allocate time to subjects to maximise HSC results.
Erika
Erika, a recent HSC graduate and dux of her school, shared her personal journey and key strategies that helped her achieve outstanding results in Mathematics.

Sabrinna
Sabrinna, an experienced educator pursuing her Master of Education, offered practical tips on study habits and time management to optimise academic performance in English; notoriously one of the most challenging subjects for students.
We are passionate about setting students up for success in their ATAR journey and this is just one of many events where we empower students with proven advice and academic motivation.

Wellness Check-in
As we continue through the school year, it’s important to prioritise mental and emotional wellbeing. The pressures of school can sometimes be overwhelming and it's crucial to ensure that our students are taking care of themselves. Encourage your child to take regular breaks, stay active and reach out when they need support.
Remember, mental health is just as important as academic success.
If your child ever feels the need to speak to a professional, here are a few resources that can provide guidance and support:
- Kids Helpline - Confidential support for young people.
- Headspace - National youth mental health foundation.
- Beyond Blue - Support for mental health, including anxiety and depression.
We’re here to support your child’s journey, both academically and emotionally.
