This term, we’ve seen our students dig deep, build confidence, and prepare themselves for success. Term 3 is never easy, but the dedication and achievements we witnessed were truly inspiring. Let’s celebrate the wins before heading into the home stretch of Term 4.
Helping Students Shine with Georges River Council
Hurstville Library was buzzing in the Term 3 Year 12 Trials exam block! Our tutors teamed up once again with Georges River Council to support local students through this crucial part of the year.

OpenWisdom tutors were on hand to provide tailored guidance, answer tricky questions, and share study strategies to help students feel more confident heading into their exams. It was inspiring to see so many young learners taking initiative, working hard, and making the most of the resources available to them.
The Road to Summit Is Underway!
Our Year 12s are entering one of the most important phases of their schooling, and we’re proud to have started the Summit Program with them this term.
The program is designed to guide students all the way through to their HSC exams with structure, focus and expert support. Over the past couple of months, Year 12s have worked closely with tutors to sharpen their exam strategies, practise challenging questions and build the confidence needed to perform under pressure.
This isn’t just about revision, it’s about creating a steady rhythm that keeps students on track and reduces stress. With mock exams, targeted workshops, and ongoing feedback, the Summit Program ensures that every student has the tools to meet the challenges of the HSC head-on. We’re so excited to see how far they’ll go!

Year 11 Students Power Up for Preliminary Exams
As Year 11 students face their Preliminary exams, nerves and uncertainty can sometimes get in the way of their hard work. That’s where our Prelims Power-Up sessions came in. These were intensive, exam-focused revision workshops that helped students bridge the gap between classroom learning and exam performance.
Led by subject experts, the sessions covered everything from content consolidation to time management and exam-writing skills. Students learned how to apply their knowledge under timed conditions and leave feeling more confident about their exams ahead. Turning preparation into performance, the sessions gave students the boost they needed to walk into their Prelims with calmness and clarity.

The OpenWisdom Headstart Advantage

The move from Year 10 into senior school is a big step, but our Headstart Program makes that transition smoother and even exciting. Launching in Week 1 of Term 4, the program introduces Year 10 students to Year 11-style assessments, senior content and study techniques tailored for Stage 6.
By giving students this early exposure, we help them build both the mindset and the skillset to succeed before they even step into a Year 11 classroom. Past participants have told us how much easier the start of senior school felt, simply because they already had the chance to practise and prepare.
Celebrating Student Wins!

At OpenWisdom, we believe every step forward deserves to be celebrated. Term 3 has been filled with hard work, determination and exciting progress from our students. We’re proud to share some standout achievements that highlight just how powerful consistent effort and support can be!

Stella (Year 12) made incredible strides in Standard English. At the end of Year 11, Stella was sitting in the middle of her cohort but has now finished her internal Year 12 assessments at rank 3! Through regular practice and one-on-one sessions, she now approaches each challenge with positivity and persistence.

William (Year 10) has also boosted his English marks dramatically this term. With the help of his tutor, Angelina, he jumped from 70% in his last assessment to 85% this term! A fantastic result which will set him up well for the transition to senior school.

To top it off, Abella (Year 11) achieved a whopping 100% in English Extension 1 this term! A perfect result achieved through determination and hard work. Well done!
These wins are just a glimpse of the amazing journeys our students are on. We’re inspired everyday by their growth, and can’t wait to see what Term 4 will bring!

Wellness Check-in
October is Mental Health Month and the theme, Taking Steps on Your Wellbeing Journey, is a timely reminder of the benefits of physical activity. Going for a short outside not only helps to clear your mind, but getting some sun during the day can help keep your circadian rhythm on track.
Academic success isn’t just about putting in the study hours, it’s also about looking after your mind and body. Stress, tiredness and feeling overwhelmed can all impact focus and motivation. Taking time to have a break, talk through challenges, and build healthy routines can make a huge difference, not just in school but in life.
