Welcome to Term 2! We hope you had a restful break and are feeling motivated to get back into the swing of school. With a new term comes new opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed, and at OpenWisdom we’re here to support you every step of the way. You should now have access to our new Skooly app and we will be transitioning your learning experience to the mobile app platform by the end of Week 3. Soon, you will receive an email from Skooly detailing how to set up the app and ensure you can see your classes and messages. Here are 3 key changes we are implementing to make your learning experience better. 1. Homework assignments From week 3 onwards, all homework from your tutor will be assigned through the Skooly app. You’ll be able to access the work, due dates and attachments through your class profile. 2. Contacting your Tutor All communications between you and your tutor must be done through the Skooly app’s messaging feature. As the singular “official” channel, this will remove any confusion about communications. 3. Lesson Timetables Your Skooly calendar is the single source of truth. If you reschedule your lesson with your tutor, please ensure the new time reflected in your Skooly calendar. If you notice any issues with the schedule, message your tutor through the app so we can fix it. Term 1 Student Celebrations! 🤩 At OpenWisdom, we love seeing you achieve your goals! We are really proud to congratulate the following students for their fantastic results in Term 1. Starting off the year with a bang! Tahlia (Year 12) showed us that hard work pays off, rising from 35% to 80% in Advanced English! Bassel (Year 12) stunned us with his amazing result in Advanced English, ranking 12 out of a whopping 150 students! Year 7-11 Achievements Congratulations are also in order for our younger scholars too. Mikayla (Year 8) took on a lofty goal of 75% at the beginning of her term, but ended up annihilating it with full marks in her last task. Marking the transition to the HSC run-up, it’s not always clear what the best path is.
