OpenWisdom Education Pty Ltd ("us", "we", or "our") operates the OpenWisdom Resource mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "Service").

Our Privacy Policy governs your use of the OpenWisdom Resource mobile application and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service.

We use your data to provide and improve Service. By using Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

SERVICE means the OpenWisdom Resource mobile application operated by OpenWisdom Education Pty Ltd.

Account Access

Unlike many apps, OpenWisdom Resource does not allow account creation within the app. All user accounts (tutors, students, and admins) are created and managed through our website, openwisdomeducation.com. The app is used solely to sign in to your existing OpenWisdom Education account and access the Service.

Personal Data

When you sign in to Service, we access the following information already associated with your existing account:

• Email address
• First name and last name
• Account role (tutor, student, or admin)

Progress Data

The primary data collected through the app itself is progress-tracking data — specifically, which learning resources and skills you have accessed or completed. This data is used solely to track and display your (or your students') learning progress within the Service, and for admins/tutors to monitor student progress.

Usage Data

We may also collect limited technical information generated by your use of Service, such as device type, operating system version, and app crash/diagnostic data, used solely to maintain and improve the Service's stability and performance.

Use of Data

OpenWisdom Education Pty Ltd uses the collected data for the following purposes only:

• to authenticate your access to Service using your existing OpenWisdom Education account;
• to track and display learning progress for students, tutors, and admins;
• to provide and maintain our Service;
• to notify you about changes to our Service;
• to provide customer support;
• to detect, prevent and address technical issues;
• to fulfil any other purpose for which you provide it;
• to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing communications, analytics profiling, or AI model training.

Retention of Data

We will retain your Personal Data and progress data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as long as your account remains active with OpenWisdom Education. We will retain and use your data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide:

1. Disclosure for Law Enforcement. Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Cognito, to securely authenticate user sign-ins and store application data. AWS acts as a Data Processor on our behalf and is obligated not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for use by high school students, tutors, and admins associated with OpenWisdom Education. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 independent of an existing OpenWisdom Education account created and managed by a parent, guardian, or school. If you become aware that a Child under 13 has an account without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
